Homes, land and acreage
Most properties around Iola are rural acreage, ranch and farm land, and small-town homes. Buying land is different from buying a house in town, so I'll help you check the details that matter:
- Water: wells or a water supply corporation
- Septic systems and soil
- Surveys, easements and road access
- Ag or wildlife tax exemptions
- Deed restrictions, minerals and floodplain
A little history
The railroad reached Iola in the early 1900s, and the town officially incorporated in 2007. Some of the community's roots go back much further, including Zion Methodist Church, founded in 1852.
